On a roll!

2 posts in 2 days. Amazing! Don't worry, I won't be posting pictures of my scrapbook pages everyday but I'm just so excited about finally learning to do all of this. Today I made a page using a template. This time I was able to choose my own paper and elements etc. I've only completed one (actually 2) pages today. It doesn't seem like much but I have learned so much. I'll hopefully be able to remember how I did all of this.

These are pictures of the pinewood derby last year. Dean helped Harrison cut out a very basic car. Harrison sanded and painted it and I added the letters and stripes. After seeing all of the other boys' cool designs and paint jobs, Harrison was sure that his car would be a complete loser. He ended up winning race after race and eventually won it all. He was thrilled but tried hard to keep his excitement to himself so that none of his friends would feel bad. He is such a kind boy and I'm so proud that he's mine.

The End of a Drought

Ok, don't fall off of your chairs! I'm sure everyone has given up on me by now but after a full year of time off, I've decided to post a new entry. My mother-in-law started to scrapbook digitally about a year ago. She and all of my other friends have gotten so good at it that I thought I'd give it a try. (Not to mention it's much cheaper and faster.....or so they say) I am hanging out at one of their quarterly scrapbooking weekends and I finally made my first page. It does come with a small disclaimer though. This is called a "quick page", which means that the page was already created. All I had to do was learn to insert my photos into it. I'm going to do one more and then move on to something a little more challenging.....maybe.
The boys stayed with Janice over night while I took Dean to Las Vegas to see a show for his birthday. They had fun sledding in the Cook's backyard and Janice took pictures from her back porch. We're lucky that grandma always has her camera handy and takes at least 100 pictures of every event. You're guaranteed a good pic with so much inventory. Thanks Janice!
